Rural Innovation Hub

Problem

Too many rural towns don't have a clear "home base." People don't know where to go to plug in, get help, or meet others. The result: fragmentation, isolation, and duplicated effort.

Solution

The Rural Innovation Hub is a coworking and nonprofit co-location space opened by the Sussex County Health Coalition on December 16, 2025 in two combined office units at its own address, 21133 Sterling Avenue Suite 12, Georgetown. It was funded mainly by a Longwood Foundation grant as part of a nearly $600,000 project and holds three larger offices, five incubation offices, shared desks, a training room and a conference room; the offices were nearly all let before opening to statewide nonprofits.
