Clarkdale, Arizona

Small Talk / Weekly Smore / Notify Me

Problem

Information doesn't flow. Events, opportunities, and services exist—but many people never hear about them. Traditional media has faded; online spaces are fragmented or hard to access.

Solution

The Town of Clarkdale (population 4,424 in 2020) publishes Small Talk, a two-page monthly newsletter archived on its website as 52 PDF issues from January 2018 to April 2022 and since posted as page images in its News Flash, plus a weekly 'Town of Clarkdale Update' on the Smore platform. Residents opt in through the CivicPlus Notify Me service, which sends email or text notifications for a 'Town Newsletters, Events & Programming News' list and for agendas, jobs, bids and calendar items.
