Falmouth, Massachusetts

Falmouth Community Television

Problem

Information doesn't flow. Events, opportunities, and services exist—but many people never hear about them. Traditional media has faded; online spaces are fragmented or hard to access.

Solution

Falmouth Community Television Corporation Inc (FCTV, IRS ruling year 1993) is the nonprofit community media center that has run Falmouth's public, education and government cable channels since 1993 (Xfinity 6, 8 and 9 since December 2023, plus streams and Roku, Apple TV and phone apps) from the Falmouth Community Media Center it opened in 2019 at 310 Dillingham Avenue. Each channel carries a community bulletin board (public submissions by web form from Falmouth nonprofits, groups and government; government postings by town staff), the government channel covers municipal meetings live, and a Youth Producers Club for teens meets weekly after school during the school year.
