Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Hour Exchange Time Bank (Hour Exchange Pagosa)

Problem

Lack of cash, jobs, or formal credentials leaves many residents idle or isolated—even when they have skills and a willingness to help.

Solution

Hour Exchange Time Bank in Pagosa Springs, Colorado is a volunteer-run service exchange in which one hour of service earns one time credit regardless of the service; members apply online, pay $25 a year, attend a required orientation that includes training on the Time and Talents (hOurworld) software, and record exchanges there. A 2013 Pagosa Springs SUN notice shows it existed by March 2013. No membership, exchange or activity figures from any source were found.
