Twin Falls, Idaho

College of Southern Idaho (CSI) + SkillStack + Idaho LAUNCH

Problem

Many rural adults need new skills but can't spend years in school or travel far. That locks people out of better-paying work and growing industries.

Solution

CSI Workforce Development & Training publishes a catalog of short non-credit classes (CNA, welding, OSHA-standard safety, CompTIA, Excel, business) with dates, prices and instructors, registered at 315 Falls Ave in Twin Falls with some classes in Burley. Idaho LAUNCH pays 80 percent of tuition and fees up to $8,000 only for graduating high school seniors; the adult version that pays for CSI workforce classes is capped at $3,500. SkillStack is Idaho CTE's badge platform and CSI transcribes badges for credit, but CSI's SkillStack page is a high-school CTE pathway (the former Tech Prep), and no source links CSI's workforce classes to SkillStack badges.
